This document validates Hurley’s vital role as Southeastern Regional Director. Hurley worked with a student to develop a calendar with important dates such as, the Emancipation Proclamation, the development of the NAACP, and the March on Washington. The calendar was viable because it helped individuals become aware of the NAACP and its history. Hurley’s contribution to the development of the calendar displays Hurley’s wit on how she possibly influenced the growing number of the NAACP’s membership.
