… Even When We Face Opposition…
In the Black community "resilience" is a burden upon the shoulders of Black bodies before they are even brought into this world. During the civil rights movement, we saw a lot of hate crimes towards Black men, women, and children just for their desire to be considered equal. Even When We Face Opposition allows the audience to take a look at these different hate crimes practiced against the Black community simply through photographs that bring forth the emotion of sympathy and speak truth to the experience of being Black in America.
