Police walked with the same mobs that attacked members of the Chicago Freedom Movement

Description
Chicago police officers are seen walking alongside mobs that attacked members of the Chicago Freedom Movement. These officers were not only walking alongside them, but also appearing to engage in conversation with them given their body language and shared facial expressions (smiles). While the majority of the individuals included in this photograph are white, there are also two Black men; one being a civilian and another a police officer. The two seem to be physically disconnected from their white counterparts.
