“Even though Blair wasn’t attending the march as a National Geographic photographer, he brought his camera and a telephoto lens. And he made sure to be at the front of the crowd as it marched so when it reached the Lincoln Memorial, he could find a spot at the base of the steps.”[2]
From the crowd of multiracial faces to the signs displaying their multicultural backgrounds, these people united with clear and concise messages chosen by the organizers of the rally. Drawing specific attention to the sign at the far right in the front of the crowd, “We demand an end to police brutality now!” begs to question, what has changed for the better in the last 57 years?
