In this image, Dr. King, Jr. appears to be preparing to deliver a speech of some sort. King, Jr. is known for his prominent delivery of speeches during the civil rights period, but rarely were they documented in color; making this image a rarity for most. In this photo, Dr. King, Jr. can be seen with a subtle smirk, looking down at the podium. In front of him are a variety of microphones, and behind are several African American spectators. </text>
