Preferred museum website to host digital exhibition: The High Museum
I chose The High Museum, located in Atlanta, Georgia, for a multitude of reasons. At the beginning of last month, I purchased a membership to The High Museum, and I’m so happy I did because in the weeks since making the purchase I have surrounded myself with awe-inspiring and ever-relevant works of art created by artist, throughout history, of all shapes, sizes, and colors from across the globe. Since becoming a member I have looked into the High’s Instagram, website, and collections.
I chose the High for this assignment because I like their: audience, community, events/exhibition, and website. Their website reminds me of Dazed Magazine, a wonderful publication responsible for some of my favorite magazines and articles. The art that The High Museum displays never fails to engage its audience, piquing my interest with every visit. I’m drawn to the High Museum’s website because of its formatting style. They start their articles/digital exhibitions with a captivating header. Following the header, viewers are presented with a brief description of the artists and their work. To conclude, the article features a collection of works that are sure to astound.
Because I thoroughly enjoy the time I spend and the modern, culture-rich, unique, diverse, eclectic, and enigmatic atmosphere of the High I’d gladly have my exhibit hosted by their website.
